Job Classification Specifications

Classification specifications are broad descriptions covering groups of positions used by various state agencies. The links on this page provide specifications for the classifications that are used by the Comptroller of Maryland. Some of these classifications are used in other state agencies but many of these classifications are unique to the work of the Comptroller's divisions. The Comptroller's personnel office maintains position descriptions that address the essential job functions of each individual job or position in the agency. For information about other state agency positions and necessary qualifications, visit the Department of Budget and Management's Office of Personnel Services and Benefits website directly at http://www.opsb.state.md.us.
