Don't mail a sales and use tax or employer
withholding report if no tax is due
File by calling 410-260-7225
If you have no tax due for the filing period, do not mail your return. Instead,
call 410-260-7225 to file by phone.
If you use a touch-tone phone, you may call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you
use a rotary phone, call during our regular business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m. eastern standard time, Monday through Friday. You must call on or before the due
date.
Touch-tone filers will be requested to enter the following information using the
telephone keypad:
Your 10-digit telephone number, including area code
Tax type - either withholding tax or sales and use tax
Your eight-digit Maryland Central Registration Number
Filing period - the last day of the period for which you are filing, as a two-digit month,
two-digit day, and two-digit year. (Example: 01-31-99 for January 31, 1999)
At the end of your call, you will receive a confirmation number. Please record the
confirmation number in your records.
