Maryland Taxes Take Center Stage on Maryland Public Television

2006 Tax Show Now "On-Demand" with Comcast

ANNAPOLIS, MD (Feb. 27, 2006)-Comptroller William Donald Schaefer today announced that Comcast subscribers can now access Maryland Public Television's (MPT) Business Connection 2006 Tax Special through the cable company's On Demand service through April 20, 2006. The half-hour tax show highlights changes to taxpayer benefits for 2006 and features representatives from the Maryland State Comptroller's Office and IRS.

"I'm pleased that MPT and Comcast have joined together to make this valuable resource accessible to Maryland citizens throughout the tax season," said Comptroller Schaefer. "This program keeps taxpayers in the know about what's new for 2006 and gives them important information about the ease and convenience of electronic filing."
